What is the best time for seeing the gardens in bloom?

The prime time for gardens is mid-April through May. This is when the azaleas, dogwoods, tulips, and countless other spring flowers are at their spectacular peak at the Mariners' Museum Park, the grounds of historic homes like Lee Hall Mansion, and throughout Newport News Park. The weather is also ideal for strolling and enjoying the blossoms.
